  13. This is a Train Driver Simulator, simulating
  14. Class 87 locos working on the West Coast Main Line from Euston
  15. to Glasgow.

  46. This is Version 1.7 of a Train Driver Simulator, simulating
  47. Class 87 Locos working on the West Coast Main Line from
  48. Euston to Glasgow.

  50. I originally wrote this program for my own use, but I have been persuaded
  51. by friends who have played it, that it was suitable for public release.
  52.  
  53. I wrote this program with the excellent Blitz2 because the
  54. other train driver simulations advertised for fifteen or twenty quid (UKP)
  55. in the railway mags, are generally text based, with limited options
  56. so I wanted to write a program that made you feel that you were
  57. actually in the cab, and one in which the train behaved realistically,
  58. with proper moving graphics, unlimited options, and was freely available.
  59.  
  60. This program is aimed at users with a little UK railway knowledge
  61. but anyone can have a go.

  63. Please note this program is still in development
  64. but is generally stable.

  66. Also some of the data is incomplete, such as signal numbers, but
  67. the data on the program is otherwise accurate as far as I know.

  82. The rail adhesion is also affected by the difficulty level chosen.

  88. This line is an extension of the Slow lines from Hanslope junction to Rugby.
  89. The line speed is 75 mph and is signalled with 3 aspect colour light signals
  90. (ie no double yellows). This route is two miles longer than the main line
  91. via Weedon. The line falls at 1 in 200, through Hunsbury Hill tunnel, to
  92. Northampton and then climbs at 1 in 230 back up to Rugby through a short tunnel
  93. at Crick.

  95. To force a train to be diverted hold Left-alt key while passing Signal no 79.

  102. inspectors. You will be advised as soon as your speed has been recorded.
